Disco Donnie Presents would like to extend our congratulations to Cedric Gervais for his recent Grammy win for his remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness.” Winning Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical, Gervais beat out many other nominees and hopefuls with the infectious single.
Though we’ve been following the French export for nearly a decade, Gervais reached an entirely new audience this past summer thanks to the Lana rework. The “Summertime Sadness” remix reached #6 on Billboard’s Hot 100 making it the biggest hit of his career.
Having just finished the final leg of his European tour at the close of 2013, Gervais went back in the studio to put the finishing touches on his remix of Miley Cyrus’ latest release, “Adore You.” Taking the single out of the bedroom and into the clubs, the remix, out now on Spinnin’ Records, is sure to find its way to dance floors across the globe.
With 2014 already starting off with a bang, we are excited to bring Cedric Gervais and his Summertime Sadness tour to Cleveland and Charlotte later this year.
