To anyone who goes to shows on a regular basis, rave fam’ is life, and if you’re about that life then you’ve probably picked up a few questionable habits only fellow party people could understand. We’re scouring tape from our Disco dance floors to uncover the third installment in a video series, 10 Types Of Ravers, because there’s something special about party animals who manage to have a sensational time wherever they go.

Watch volume three to see if your style made the list. Every event has a crazy cast of characters including the good ol’ fist pumper, night owls sporting moon glasses, and high fivers who want to give you the clap. Rest in Peace Leon Jackson

The Disco family is giving pause today to honor our own Leon Jackson – a man who devoted his life to music with creativity and imagination. Leon loved to see people happy and always put others interests above his own.

To know him was a privilege and the world is a better place because of Leon’s influence. Like good promoters do, he is still connecting us. We draw strength from his example as we mourn his passing.

We will miss your big, wonderful smile and deep laugh. You made us better. We love you dearly and will miss you badly.

Rest in Peace, Leon.

For over 20 years we at Disco Donnie Presents have been in the business of partying. Whether inside intimate clubs or at massive outdoor festivals, our countless events have seen many different types of music lovers joining us on the dance floor. Wearing everything from Jnco’s, to fuzzy leg warmers, teddy bear backpacks, and kandi — no matter the look, we love to see smiling partygoers enjoying the music.

Stay Safe With the BUDDY System!

With the rise of electronic music culture in recent years has come a growing number of young people attending large-scale music events and festivals. As such, organizers like us here at Disco Donnie Presents are working diligently to expand harm-reduction policies and safety protocols, however, we as a community need to work together to protect our scene. It takes a team effort, and fellow dancers are the key to making that happen.

How the BUDDY System Works

The BUDDY system empowers the crowd, allowing fellow clubbers to look out for each other’s welfare with an elegant tech’ solution. Based in SMS, BUDDY provides a unique code to every attendee on the wristband provided at the event’s entry.

In case of emergency, a member of the crowd can notify on-site medical teams of the location by texting the six digit code. When this text is sent, any pre-registered emergency contacts and on-site friends will also be notified including previously volunteered medical information. By utilizing this automated system, we can dramatically cut down the response time, treating people sooner and more effectively.

The idea behind BUDDY is to give fans the power and means to effectively do something for anyone who might be having a health crisis. With efficient technologies like this coming out on the market, we should be able to reduce emergency response times and make a real difference by putting tragic festival stories in the past.
